Senior Manager, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS

This position will manage the design, implementation and administration of the compensation, benefits and HRIS programs for Omeros. This role partners with talent acquisition and HR Business Partners in the delivery of HR services. The ideal candidate is well-versed in cash compensation programs and benefits or HRIS administration. Core competencies include but are not limited to solid communication, analysis and program implementation skills.

Who is Omeros?

Omeros is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing and commercializing small-molecule and protein therapeutics for large-market and orphan indications targeting inflammation, complement-mediated diseases, disorders of the central nervous system and immune-related diseases, including cancers. Small-molecule inhibitors of GPR174 are part of Omeros' proprietary G proteincoupled receptor (GPCR) platform through which it controls 54 new GPCR drug targets and their corresponding compounds. The company also exclusively possesses a novel antibody-generating platform.

What are your job responsibilities?

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manages the design, administration, and communication of annual compensation and incentive planning in collaboration with HR Business Partners
  • Develops and manages the salary structure, including job evaluation and updating salary and stock ranges, etc.
  • Conducts compensation analyses to evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness and legal compliance of Omeros's pay practices
  • Partners with management and HR Business Partners in the development and implementation of career ladders and position descriptions
  • Manages benchmarking and data submission processes for compensation and benefits surveys; analyze and utilize survey data results
  • Researches and monitors FLSA and EEOC compliance
Benefits

  • Manages company healthcare plans including the annual benefit insurance renewal process, communication, enrollment, general administration, and COBRA compliance
  • Oversees disability insurance and leaves (FMLA, Washington state paid family leave, medical leaves, etc.) related claim applications for employees
  • Manages the company's FSA, HSA, and voluntary benefits
  • Leads the design and administration of the 401K Plan including plan communication, enrollment, testing, and reporting
  • Guides the design, implementation and management of the Wellness program
  • Responsible for auditing and approving benefit invoices resolving any billing/payment discrepancies as needed
  • Coordinates all federal, state and local compliance, 5500 filings, reports, external audits, tax returns etc. related to the administration of employee benefits
HRIS

  • Provides oversight for HRIS system(s) implementations, processes, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Provides end-user system support including system training, troubleshooting and working with vendors
  • Works across HR function to identify and optimize automation and user experience
  • Supports reporting and data needs
  • Assists with projects as needed
What education and experience do you need?

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business preferred and 5 - 7 years of experience with administering and leading compensation and benefit programs
  • Experience building and administering compensation programs and processes
  • Ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts, reports and recommendations
  • Up to date on compliance, benefits and compensation best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of benefit programs is strongly preferred
  • Experience in vendor selection and management is strongly preferred
  • CCP certification is desired; CEBS/CBP certification is a plus
  • Knowledge in FMLA, HIPPA, COBRA, and other federal, state and local regulations preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite with advanced capability in Excel and exceptional
