The VelociGene Group is looking for a Microinjectionist to join their team, which builds genetically engineered models to support Regeneron's entire early drug discovery portfolio. This individual would perform all the laboratory procedures required for production of modified murine lines. This includes microinjection techniques such as ES Cell injections into 8-cell stage and blastocyst stage embryos, pronuclear injections and electroporations of fertilized oocytes, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), Artificial Insemination, and IVF.

In this role, a typical day may include:
• Performs all procedures for microinjection and surgical transfer of modified embryos, including setup and maintenance of laboratory scopes and associated equipment, medium and dish preparation, thawing of frozen embryos.
• Sterilization and upkeep of surgical tools, maintenance of sterile surgical areas, preparation and anesthetization of pseudopregnant females and sterile surgical technique
• Develop and contribute to improving all laboratory procedures
• Record keeping, data collection and entry into database
• Develop detailed familiarity and maintain strict compliance with all current protocols

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelors degree and 1-4 years of proven experience. You will need to have a basic understanding of molecular biology techniques used for genotyping. In-vivo experience is a must. Experience in vitrification/cryopreservation is very helpful.
