Summary:

As a part of the growing North America (US and Canada) Business Technology team, the Associate Director, Business Technology Project Management works closely with key personnel across the organization in identifying challenges and defining solutions to help improve organizational efficiency. This position's primary objective is helping our internal customers implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining and consulting on the requirements of a project or idea and communicating the requirements clearly to stakeholders. This individual will act as the lead for portfolio management, project definition, intake and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of projects and deliverables.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for owning the development, leadership, and execution of strategies focused on IT Project Management, process improvements, and system enhancements
  • Support program review and portfolio prioritization processes
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and change management activities regarding deliverables during program execution
  • Coordinate communication across projects, seeking user feedback and optimizing PM tools, structure and reporting
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each of Lundbeck customers and each department's goals and objectives
  • Develop communication channels to ensure team members and project stakeholders are kept informed across North America and Global counterparts
  • Advise, design and build standardized PMO reporting tools, dashboards, and scoring metrics to facilitate regular communication of portfolio progress to external and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor compliance with project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates
  • Maintain, curate and report on the North America Business Technology Roadmap
  • Manage local team and project budgets as required
  • Engage with global and local cross functional project managers


Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in IT project management or business analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or supporting commercial/sales organizations
  • Fluency in modern design approaches and emerging technology including design thinking, agile delivery, scrum
  • Ability to gather project requirements and communicate them effectively
  • Experience with project management applications (e.g. JIRA, MS Project, Workfront)
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams in multi-functional projects/programs
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, taking initiative and working independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical subject matter experts
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other functions and lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Experience with pharmaceutical commercial organizations
  • Prior people management experience or management oversight of consultants/contractors
  • Experience with commercial applications (CRM, BI, data warehousing)
  • Experience with marketing technology (marketo, salesforce, Adobe)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt


Travel:
• Willingness/Ability to travel up to 15%. International travel may be required.
