Duties & Responsibilities

MSC is currently searching for a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Contingent on Award.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work cooperatively as a member of a software development team to:
  • Ensure that there are no errors in the overall business functionality, operational processes, and network performance.
  • Evaluating, implementing, and maintaining test frameworks. Execute all test cases to ensure functionality, including that all required security controls are in place and working as expected.
  • Implementing automated tests
  • Providing guidance to project teams in test design and the use of testing tools
  • providing mechanisms to capture maturity indicators such as code coverage
  • Implementing load/stress tests
  • Support user acceptance testing.
  • Utilize TFS to ensure that all testing results are captured.
  • Assist project manager in reviewing and prioritizing the testing defects.


Requirements

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math or related technical majors.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing of all phases of the software testing life cycle and its integration with SDLC.
  • Organized, details oriented, self-starter, team player and a quick learner.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skill.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience in web-based and cloud-hosted application testing, including apps that utilize microservices.
  • API testing experience; experience with SOAP UI and/or ReadyAPI.
