OMNICHANNEL DIGITAL LEAD (DIRECTOR)

Position Summary:

Global Blood Therapeutics (GBT) is seeking a leader to enhance and optimize the Company's digital strategy and execution. The Omnichannel Digital Lead will report to the Vice President of Marketing & Patient Support. The candidate will lead the development and execution of an omnichannel plan for engaging customers as the role of virtual engagements continues to evolve. This role promotes and grows marketing's digital footprint to drive desired behavior change. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have strong marketing, communication, influencing, and partnership skills with the ability to guide the omnichannel vision through execution and analyze and optimize results to inform future planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and implementation of digital omnichannel marketing solutions to drive desired behavior for key targets. This will include the following:

  • Partner with marketing functional leads to support brand strategy, tactics, and promotional efforts by pulling-through key messaging and campaign elements across digital channels
  • Lead the digital AOR to develop transformative digital executions, process innovations, and methods to maximize reach & frequency of core targets
  • Establish key objectives and performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns and identify and implement appropriate measurement with Commercial Analytics partners
  • Map current digital tactics to identify gaps, opportunities, and insights to optimize spend, performance & ROI
  • Own and lead all operational aspects of digital marketing efforts in accordance with aligned timelines and milestones (IT, PRC, Marketing Functions)
  • Evaluate emerging trends and technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for implementing when appropriate
  • Monitor and evaluate industry digital trends and topics that may impact the Sickle Cell Disease landscape
  • Drive improvements in all campaigns through ongoing business & financial analysis; manage budget for function
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with HCP/Patient/OLP Marketing, PRC, Compliance, IT, Corp Communications, Community Engagement & Partnership


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree, MBA preferred, and a minimum of 9+ years of progressive marketing/commercial experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry
  • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals and the ability to align marketing strategy and customer behavioral objectives to tactical campaign design across multiple dimensions (customer, channel, content) and drive impact
  • Demonstrated strategic acumen in developing digital initiatives and marketing communication plans
  • Proven analytical acuity with the ability to transform key data to meaningful and actionable insights that lead to informed decision-making
  • Desire to build and create strategies and plans to enhance digital effectiveness
  • Strong leadership experience and traits, including prior experience managing direct reports. Ability to effectively delegate workload and empower/support direct report to develop their own skills and capabilities
  • Highly motivated, results driven individual with strong decision-making capabilities and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to build constructive relationships across functions to build trust, rapport, and effectively influence partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with external vendors and manage vendor performance; ability to identify innovative approaches that align to business objectives and bring them to fruition
  • Excellent project management experience and proven track record of managing multiple complex priorities
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork
  • Experience in rare disease, Sub-part H, and/or demonstrated ability to learn new market, disease state, and product quickly
