Overview:
The key responsibilities will be:
As Precision Medicine Team Leader, responsible for independently developing and executing the overall Precision Medicine Strategy for one or more Oncology compounds
Serves as a point of contact for all aspects of Precision medicine strategy providing scientific expertise and leadership to programs
Enables cross functional collaboration on precision medicine strategy implementation. Leads the design, execution, analysis, communication, and publication of translational research and correlative clinical biomarker studies
Responsible for Precision Medicine related sections in clinical study / regulatory documents (i.e. INDs, IBs, trial protocols/ops manuals, ICFs, IRB responses, HA Briefing Books, CSRs, etc)
Provides oversight of external collaborations (academic/industry/ consortia) that advance Precision Medicine objectives for the program
Represents Precision Medicine function at ad boards and health authority interactions to advance translational research and clinical biomarker objectives for the program
Apply multiple genomic and biochemical technology platforms to demonstrate target engagement, develop patient selection/CDx strategies (in partnership with CDx group).
Implement potential novel bioanalytical platforms and introduce new ways to incorporate biomarkers into clinical program designs.
Design and perform experiments to elucidate resistance mechanisms that can be developed into novel targets for new therapeutics.
Function as an internal expert in oncology biomarkers and precision medicine and actively educate other team members through knowledge sharing.
Present and report data in external meetings and publications.
Qualifications
Qualifications
M.D. and/or Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related field with 8+ years of post-doctoral experience
Experience in independently leading matrixed clinical biomarker team, and developing/implementing translational medicine strategies for one or more Oncology programs in industry setting is a must
Strong scientific background in tumor biology and expertise in immuno-oncology, epigenetics, or tumor immune microenvironment is preferred.
Demonstrated technical excellence and expertise in Translational medicine; including hands-on experience taking small molecules and/or biologics through clinical development. Experience in analysis of large datasets and knowledge of biostatistics will be useful.
Experience in the utilization of various technologies/platforms ( –omics technologies, immunohistochemistry and immunoassays, etc.) for biomarker research.
Effectively work in a cross-functional team environment, interacting with various levels within the organization as well as vendors/academic sites/KOLs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work effectively on multiple oncology programs in a fast dynamic environment.
