Turning Point Therapeutics is a clinical-stage precision oncology company with a pipeline of internally discovered investigational drugs designed to address key limitations of existing cancer therapies. The company’s lead program, repotrectinib, is a next-generation kinase inhibitor targeting genetic drivers of non-small cell lung cancer and advanced solid tumors. Two other inhibitors are in clinical trials for oncogenic MET cancers (TPX-0022) and RET driven cancers (TPX-0046). Turning Point Therapeutics is driven to develop therapies that mark a turning point for patients in their cancer treatment.

The Clinical Trial Finance Analyst is responsible for assisting with study financial forecasting efforts, developing evidence-based metrics and analytics, and managing clinical accrual and monthly re-forecasts for ongoing, active studies in collaboration with Clinical Operations and Finance. Specific responsibilities include assisting with the generation of high-level and baseline estimates for planned studies, maintaining accrual and forecasting models, developing and maintaining key performance and quality indicators for Clinical Operations, and various process improvement initiatives. The Clinical Finance Analyst works under the direction of the Sr. Director, Clinical Trial Execution.


  • Assist Clinical Operational Leads (COLs) in collaboration with finance and clinical outsourcing with the generation of high-level and detailed study budget forecasts for all programs, including setting a baseline for RFP processes
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate internal and external benchmarking data to support effective forecasting efforts
  • Develop and maintain key aggregate, actionable metrics for Sr. Management and facilitate data review, interpretation, and tracking of actions related to measurement
  • Maintain study accrual and reforecasting models for all active, ongoing studies and collaborate with COLs and Finance to ensure data integrity
  • Conduct budget analyses and generate recommendations in support of strategic, data-driven decision making
  • Evaluate vendor/CRO bid financials and provide guidance to the study team during vendor selection activities
  • Conduct post-mortem study analyses and collect internal benchmarking data to support future planning activities
  • Evaluate and provide feedback related to vendor study operational metrics, vendor financial reporting, and internal usage of information
  • Support quarterly financial reconciliations and financial closeout of vendors in conjunction with COLs
  • Support yearly budget forecasting and quarterly oversight of program spend
  • Create and monitor study-level analytics such as milestone adherence, operational cycle times, site activation progress, and financial forecast over time
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of clinical finance for various internal process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other activities as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • MUST have a minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Solid understanding of clinical study cost drivers, forecasting methodologies, and creation/interpretation of key performance/quality indicators required
  • Ability to understand strategic goals and meet the business needs of the company
