JOB PURPOSE

Sana Biotechnology is looking to expand our team with hard-working individuals who believe in the potential of cells as engineered medicines. We are looking for enthusiastic scientists to advance our novel targeted gene therapy platform. The candidate will support early research activities and be responsible for in vitro and in vivo pre-clinical studies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and execute in vitro and ex vivo studies using primary T cells, PBMCs, or other immune cells using Sana's novel gene therapy platform
  • Support in vivo studies through tissue collection and processing for downstream assays such as flow cytometry and molecular work
  • Design and execute experimental studies including troubleshooting, data recording, analysis and reporting
  • Present data and progress to research teams

QUALIFICATION
  • BS (4+ years) or MS (1-2 years) degree in a relevant discipline (biology, immunology, cell biology) with industry experience
  • Expertise in mammalian cell line and primary immune cell cultures and cell-based assays
  • Experience in standard molecular and cell biology techniques (flow cytometry, RNA isolation, qPCR, cell culture, ELISA/MSD)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, highly collaborative environment
  • Enthusiasm to learn new techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Graphpad Prism, FlowJo
