MSC is currently searching for an IT Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with MSC and is based in Bethesda, MD but allows for remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bolster existing domain expertise in NCI IT organization with understanding of clinical trials and bioinformatics
  • Serve as Project Manager, managing complex teams to meet milestones and timelines of multiple ongoing clinical studies, which includes organizing regular team teleconferences, maintaining spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Monitors the performance of tasks and informs the Program Manager of problems and accomplishments.
  • Serve as source for bioinformatics and NCI domain knowledge.
  • Participates in solutions of systems problems.
  • Directs systems analysts, programmers, other technical personnel on assigned work and provides technical direction.
  • Point of contact for clinical protocol safety review teams, IRBs and their processes.
  • Serve as the liaison with academic, government, and industry partners on behalf of the Branch on clinical trial issues.


  • Bachelors' degree in a related field of study.
  • Knowledge of clinical research needs in scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, operations, or related discipline.
  • Project management experience, demonstration of strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of clinical trial protocols and clinical research focused on cancer.
  • Understanding of software application development and experience implementing Agile methodologies
  • Communicate well both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in matrix organizations.
