We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, functioning as a proactive business partner and assisting the business leaders with their accounting and compliance responsibilities

The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, functioning as a proactive business partner and assisting the business leaders with their accounting and compliance responsibilities
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for full cycle Accounts Payable
- Enter invoices, Match to POs, ensure proper account coding, appropriate approval of all invoices
- Process bi-weekly check runs, processing checks and preparing wire transfers
- Resolve any discrepancy related to invoicing and payments
- Manage vendor setup, maintain master vendor files to track all contracts, purchase orders, account statements, communication with the vendors for any queries
- Reconcile vendor account statements and past due balances
- Assist with the implementation of controls, policies and procedures to support the growth and expansion of the Company
- Process journal entries for month-end close, including sub ledger to ledger reconciliations
- Create purchase orders, coordinate with internal team members for PO funds and approvals
- Enter credit card transactions, gather proper documentation to ensure proper coding
- Prepare monthly AP Aging and reconciliation report
- Assist in year- end 1099 filings
- Assist in month-end closing tasks
- Assist with any other task assigned
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 3+ years' experience in accounts payable
- Experience with Excel and Word
- QuickBooks, NetSuite and Point Purchasing experience a plus
- Ability to consistently meet all deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational ability
- Effective corporate communications skills
