Reporting Relationship: Reports to Scientist/Sr. Scientist

The Opportunity:

We seek a highly motivated research associate to support the Protein Engineering group. The successful candidate will contribute to the engineering, design, and characterization of activatable protein therapeutics, including antibodies, bispecific molecules, and cytokines. He/She will work at the cutting edge of research on new molecular formats.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Work with project teams (internal and partnered) to design and optimize Probody therapeutic candidates derived from antibodies, bi-specific proteins, and cytokines
  • Screen antibody libraries using phage-display technology
  • Discover masking peptides using bacterial display technology and FACS
  • Organize data and communicate results in internal scientific meetings

 

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. and four-years industry experience or M.S. with two-years industry experience

 

Professional Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience and knowledge in general molecular biology and recombinant DNA technology, including DNA cloning, PCR, and plasmid construction
  • Experience with ELISA, colorimetric assays, or FACS is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with phage-display is highly desirable
  • Organized working style
