Job Description:

As Senior Manager Scientific Intelligence- Oncology, you will lead intelligence support on scientific and technical areas and their commercial and financial implications to support decision-making in External Innovation (EI) & Business Development (BD) at Ipsen. Additionally, you will assist with building out internal the knowledge base on scientific and market intelligence in collaboration with relevant functions. The Sr. Manager Scientific Intelligence will support the External Innovation team on strategic & operational processes/initiatives.

Your role will involve:

• Leading intelligence support for decision-making in the EI/BD process
• Conducting landscape and in-depth analyses on select therapeutic/disease areas, indications, classes of mechanism-of-action and modality, assets and all other relevant subject matters based on information provided by counterparties and vendors, and publicly available information
• Translating findings and conclusions into concise verbal and written communications
• Collaborating with EI and BD team members to leverage intelligence output in decision-making on EI/BD projects
• Supporting Head of Global External Innovation on strategic and operational processes and initiatives for External Innovation including scientific, clinical, commercial, financial, procedural and logistical/administrative aspects
• Assisting with building out a structured internal knowledge base through leveraging past scientific and market intelligence for decision making in future projects in collaboration with other EI members, R&D, Commercial and other relevant functions

In return, you will bring:

• Master's degree in life sciences (preferred) or a bachelor's degree
• Six years of professional experience in a combination research and commercial or business development role in the life science industry
• Ability to source information and conduct well-thought out analysis to address scientific, clinical, regulatory and commercial questions
• Excellent communication skills to articulate findings concisely through verbal and written (including presentations)
• Ability to keep the big picture in mind; being proactive and thorough as well as detail-oriented Ability to multi-task across diverse areas while remaining nimble and agile in thinking and approach
