At Tegmine, we believe that better targets make better therapies. We find targets that others can't. Our discovery platform uses a mix of biology, mass spectrometry, and machine learning to unlock protein targets in their disease-state. Starting in oncology with solid tumors, Tegmine is developing the next generation of antibody drug targets, which are more specific to the tumor, sparing normal healthy tissues. Better targets. Better therapies.

We're seeking a Scientist in the field of cancer biology to advance our target discovery and validation efforts to develop antibody-based ADC and CAR-T therapies. The Scientist will be responsible for identifying and validating target proteins and their post-translational modifications. The Scientist will be responsible for coordinating efforts both internally and with collaborators to discover, validate and develop novel targets.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in drug target assessment and validation, applying biological knowledge to discuss and prioritize targets with suitability for antibody, ADC or CAR-T development.
  • Management of specimens, including selection of both primary tissues from tumor banks and PDX for efficacy studies.
  • Mammalian cell culture for target validation and screening.

Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Cell Biology or related field.
  • Plasmid design, protein expression and characterization, including PTM status.
  • Immunoprecipitation of proteins from tissue samples for mass-spectrometry analysis.
  • Multi-color flow cytometry and experience with sorting specific subpopulations of cells.
  • Organization and clear communication of your results and goals.

Preferences
  • Lentivirus vector design and transfection for the creation of model cell lines.
  • CRISPR design and implementation for the validation of protein targets / biochemical pathways.
  • Immunology, immune suppression, hypoxia, as they relate to cancer and the tumor microenvironment.
