Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting strategic planning and operations for the MI&E group as well as supporting projects and initiatives within MI&E and collaboratively supporting projects across US Medical Affairs. The Manager is responsible for supporting overall MI&E budget/finance, contracts, and vendor procurement and management. This position is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and refinement of all US Medical Affairs policies and procedures, training management for all applicable company policies and procedures and assisting USMA in adhering to compliance standards in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning:
    Support processes for development, execution and monitoring of annual business plans for MI&E
    Collaborate with Strategic Planning, Operations & Compliance lead to maintain and execute the annual business plans for MI&E
  • Operations:
    Supporting operational activities and ensuring alignment with other initiatives impacting US Medical Affairs
    Support the Improvement of operational efficiencies and effectiveness
    Troubleshoot and conduct gap analyses
    Support MI&E systems support and upgrades
    Develop work standards and best practices
    Support USMA leadership by facilitating alignment across USMA, and implementing work standards/best practices for collaboration with US OBU functions and
  • GMA:
    Assist in forecasting, budget/finance management, budget vs. spend, business operations, contract review & records retention/coordination
    Manage projects/initiatives within MI&E and across functions as assigned
    Support planning and execution of departmental activities/meetings as assigned
  • Compliance:
    Support the development and maintenance of all USMA policies and procedures
    Review training plans for USMA on all applicable policies and procedures and assist in timely completion of training
    Support the head of Strategic Planning, Operations & Compliance in assuring USMA compliance and developing best practices within and across USMA functions


Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

Bachelor's Degree required

Experience Qualifications:

  • 4 or More Years Project Management certification/PMP preferred preferred
  • 4 or More Years Medical Affairs in an operations or compliance role strongly preferred preferred
  • 4 or More Years Strong and effective strategic thinker and problem solver preferred
  • 4 or More Years Proven ability to work effectively with external partners and internal colleagues across functions/divisions (US, Global, DSPD, Legal Affairs, Compliance etc.) preferred
  • 4 or More Years Planning and program/project management skills preferred
  • 4 or More Years Budget management, phasing and accrual skills preferred
  • 4 or More Years Strong communication (verbal and in written form) and presentation skills preferred
  • 4 or More Years Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint & SharePoint preferred
  • 4 or More Years Managing competing demands and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment preferred
