CONTRACT - LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Position Summary:

This individual will work with the Head of Talent Development to support the development, coordination and scheduling of TD programs and initiatives. This includes preparing and updating presentations and materials, scheduling and providing technical support for virtual training sessions, coordinating and participating in cross functional TD projects, scheduling vendor meetings and creating and maintaining project timelines. This position will also research training content and programs, participate in TD projects and help maintain information on the HR intranet page.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the support, coordination and scheduling of all Talent Development programs and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain project timelines as well as a master training calendar
  • Create and format presentations and graphically pleasing yet simple tools and materials
  • Coordinate cross-departmental (HR) and cross-functional meetings and projects. Will participate in project meetings and will have the opportunity to lead projects as appropriate.
  • Schedule all internal TD meetings and vendor meetings
  • Assist in researching and identifying vendors
  • Organize TD program e-files, provide structure and consistency with information
  • Plans and manages logistical resources efficiently (training rooms, virtual classrooms, supplies, catering etc.) including being the technical expert for Zoom trainings and webinars
  • Assists with creating and sending learning surveys, reporting and analytics. May conduct interviews with training participants to get live feedback on training sessions
  • Assist in coordinating communications for TD initiatives including drafting, editing and sending materials on behalf of the Head of TD
  • Will help ensure communication, collaboration and alignment with other HR functions and leaders including the Head of Employee Experience and HR Business Partners
  • Captures and sometimes develops TD related processes and procedures
  • Studies currents training resources within HR and in other functions. Makes recommendations on how to best leverage the resource (i.e. LinkedIn Learning)
  • Research and recommend potential training systems, websites and resources if needed
  • Will develop programs and content as appropriate


Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or 5- 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and project management skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment yet able to work independently when needed
  • Strong customer service orientation and track record of anticipating needs for the TD team, being overly responsiveness, effectively and proactively communicating and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal and must have the ability to communicate effectively across all management and functional levels
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent power point, excel, and word skills and ability to navigate or learn virtual platforms
  • Experience developing creative and effective presentations or materials
  • Interest in continuous learning, education and self-development
  • Self-sufficient in working virtually/remote
