I. JOB SUMMARY

This National Account Director (NAD) role will be accountable for building Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) / health system-wide awareness, advocacy and access for NARCAN Nasal Spray. S/he will collaborate across Commercial, Government Affairs, and Medical Affairs teams to successfully grow the IDN retail channel. Success will be accomplished driving strong partnerships with a variety of customers including Quality stakeholders, C and D-Suite stakeholders, System Directors of Pharmacy, Directors of Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacists, Pain management Specialists, Emergency Department specialists and outpatient clinics and physicians.

There are 2 National Account Director (NAD) positions open. One NAD will cover the Midwest, West and Southwest territories. The other NAD will cover the Midatlantic, Southeast, and Northeast territories. Both role are remote but will require approximately 40% travel (when circumstances allow).

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The NAD will be positioned to manage account relationships, calling on Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) to generate opportunities and pull-through sales within the assigned accounts & geography
  • Identify and/or educate targeted local Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), System level pharmacists, and various supportive stakeholders responsible for opioid co-Rx initiatives, policies and/or protocols
  • Establish lines of communication and build productive business relations between Emergent and the departments of Quality, Pharmacy, Finance, Medical teams and other key departmental personnel within target accounts; the ability to leverage existing, institutional relationships is a critical requirement
  • The NAD will be responsible for driving new business into the assigned regional targeted customers; primarily IDNs and academic institutions
  • The NAD must follow all Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance regulations and requirements, actively participates in Quality Improvement programs as mandated by the IDN or individual hospitals
  • Ensure the culture and values of Emergent Devices are upheld within your team environment and when interacting with our customers
  • Abides by all policies, procedures and protocols set forth by Emergent

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device sales or marketing with documented success is required
  • 3 years of Key Account and System Level Management experience with key IDNs
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to use health economic models in delivering key messaging required
  • Hospital frontline leadership experience is preferred
  • Hospital launch experience preferred
  • OUD/SUD experience strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience in the IDN/hospital system marketplace and working with executive Management in hospital systems preferred
  • Demonstrates thoroughness with all work-related activities; strives to continually improve quality and productivity results on an ongoing basis.
  • Demonstrates strong strategic and rigorous analytical agility with the ability to understand complex business issues and opportunities, while using sound judgment to set objectives and direction to drive results
  • Excellent personal leadership skills with a proven track record of delivering sales results and leading and indirectly leading others to deliver and exceed sales results with a customer-centric mindset
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and clearly articulate the company's vision and mission
  • High accountability for their actions and results and ability to ensure a high level of commitment to the success of the organization, your peers and customers
  • Ability to foster a culture of integrity, trust and transparency with your colleagues and customers, ensuring that our overarching purpose is realized
