Who You Are:

The Director/Senior Director of IT Operations will lead the delivery of technology operations and services across BridgeBio and company affiliates. The role is a vital leader of a growing team and must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to quickly understand complex situations and manage effective solutions across a diverse landscape of vendors, services, and staff. They must be able to influence, negotiate, and develop relationships with customers at all organizational levels.

The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with excellent analytical abilities and judgment who can set and deliver on the IT Operations team's technical objectives that support overall goals while being efficient and delivery focused.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary process owner for multiple IT Operations service areas, including, Service Desk, Onsite Support, and Infrastructure
  • As part of the Cybersecurity service, maintains responsibility and oversight for the execution of Operations activities
  • Leads budget forecasting and tracking as related to technology services within service areas
  • Leads the evaluation and selection of systems and infrastructure in conjunction with IT strategy and business requirements to assure delivery of solutions
  • As the responsible service owner for Infrastructure, oversees personnel, vendors, projects, and support of all BridgeBio managed networks, data centers, server environments, and conferencing solutions
  • As the responsible service owner for Onsite Support and Service Desk, directs personnel, vendors, projects, and support of all BridgeBio end-user support, On/Offboarding, Office technologies, and oversees Service Desk functions
  • Responsible for adherence of IT Operations activities to controls necessary for security, GxP, SOx, and internal policies
  • Assures the proper analysis, design and documentation, implementation, test, and delivery as performed by the project teams within the service area
  • Manage security incidents, investigations, resolutions, and reporting
  • Drive resolution of high severity outages impacting IT operations areas
  • Leads the development of the IT Operations vision; translate the vision into short-/long- term goals and deliverables that support the operations of IT Operations services
  • Manage the engagement, delivery, and oversight of activities related to Infrastructure services provided by external vendors and service providers
  • Partner with the business areas to identify system requirements and translate business requirements into functional service projects, enhancements, and support
  • Conduct design review of systems and applications to ensure adherence with determining stability, performance, and security standards


Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in Operations and services areas that include delivery of Infrastructure-as-a-Service or End-User Services
  • 5+ years of experience leading a group or service dedicated to the company-wide IT Infrastructure and Services
  • Proven ability to build relationships using formal and informal networks and effective communication to adapt within the organization
  • Proven experience with managing and utilizing virtualized and cloud infrastructure in a service delivery process
  • Successful history of managing a large volume of work and an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Proven experience delivering value with a mix of SaaS, IaaS, and Vendor in a biotechnology environment
  • Excellent project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work breakdown structures, software development lifecycles
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, data privacy practices, and laws including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, and HIPAA as they relate to the management of IT Infrastructure in GMP environments
  • Must have a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure as part of a business function (SLA’s, ITIL practices, etc.)
  • Possess solid project management skills, can set and manage expectations extremely well, work effectively with others, and are exceedingly productive on your own while producing quality results
  • Must be able to handle changing and competing priorities where the path forward is not always clear at the outset and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Must communicate exceptionally well, both in writing and verbally, including success communicating ideas in technical and user-friendly language and technical writing skills
