The Senior Director, Alliance Management RGC will be responsible for a portfolio of strategic projects and executed collaboration contracts within the strategic partnership portfolio at the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC). This role will be focused on facilitating, planning and management of strategic project plans, working with project leads and partners to assure project plans are optimized for positive outcomes and utilization of RGC resources. In addition, the Sr. Director will supervise executed collaboration agreements at the RGC to assure full compliance with all terms and conditions and will serve as a business liaison with all collaborating institutions, assure all matters relating to the execution of collaborations agreements are accurately addressed.

As a Senior Director, Strategic Alliances, a typical day may include:
  • Working closely with the RGC Leadership team, RGC scientific teams, Research Program Management (RPM) team and business/operations teams to assure that the appropriate planning, tracking and resourcing is provided for strategic projects for the RGC.
  • Supporting the development and tracking of strategic projects for the RGC, providing the RGC Leadership Team regular assessments on the viability of the strategic projects portfolio and addressing any operational or business matters necessary to assure the successful completion of any one of the ongoing RGC strategic projects.
  • Working in close collaboration with the Strategic Partnership Associates and the RPM team to provide assessment and guidance on the execution of RGC collaboration agreements.
  • Meeting with Strategic Partnership Associates and RPM on active collaborations to share status of agreement and address any outstanding issues/concerns to be addressed to ensure compliance.
  • Partnering with Finance Dept. to identify, conduct and/or coordinate business/financial analysis to support both the planning and implementation of strategic projects and to reconcile any and all business obligations associated with executed collaboration contracts on behalf of the RGC.

  • Are skilled and experienced at the fundamentals of pharmaceutical/biotech business development - networking, search and evaluation, partner discussions/negotiations, contracting, project planning, etc.
  • Have experience leading or participating in project planning and management.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with significant attention to detail.
  • Can work independently and multitask in a sophisticated, yet entrepreneurial environment.
  • Are a strategic problem solver with understanding of the biopharmaceutical discovery and development process
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have BS in biology, chemistry, or related science or BA in business or economics, with an MBA or equivalent work experience. Scientific background (MS, MD or PhD) not required, but preferred. 10+ years of healthcare experience preferably within a pharmaceutical/ biotech company or genome center. Business Development or Academic Technology Transfer experience preferred; top-tier biopharma or healthcare industry consulting experience considered.
