Job Description:

As Senior Director HEOR you will strategically lead the US Health Economics and Outcomes Research (US HEOR) team. This team is responsible for setting HEOR and real-world evidence (RWE) research strategies and tactics in support of Ipsen current and future portfolio. You will lead the research activities and develop HEOR tools that answer key research questions or external stakeholder questions and evaluate and communicate compound value. The Senior Director will work and report into the Senior Vice President, North America Medical and will ensure scientific rigor in the design, execution and dissemination of outcomes research studies (both clinical and observational studies) and also lead the effective communication of results to external audiences, including specific payers or healthcare institutions, as per new FDA guidelines. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to ensure that HEOR plans are aligned across the organization, while working with US medical affairs team, US commercial, US V&A teams and global HEOR as key business partners.

Your role will involve:
  • Setting the strategy for the US HEOR group across Ipsen Portfolio and in partnership with US and global teams.
  • Ensuring the conduct of methodologically sound and comprehensive feasibility studies for potential outcomes research for priority HEOR evidence needs, designing methodologically rigorous HEOR studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers. This position will take the HEOR research from concept to publication.
  • Managing study quality, resources, project plan, vendors and writing/editing scientific content.
  • Supervising the development and refinement of AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, and value communication tools.
  • Assessing and conducting or leading large database sets analyses using secondary data sources such as healthcare claims, electronic medical record databases or publicly available datasets for HEOR projects
  • Managing the HEOR budget and delivering the projects on time
  • Communicating and leveraging approved HEOR evidence and tools to key population decision makers including payers, integrated delivery networks, PBs, institutions to inform healthcare decision making and the place of Ipsen products in therapy
  • Collaborating, as appropriate, with other customer-facing teams to provide comprehensive customer support, such as field Value and Access, and field medical colleagues
  • Complying with all regulatory laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen U.S. staff for HCEI outcomes and presentations


In return, you will bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced degree (MS, MPH, MBA) in Public Health, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Policy or a related quantitative discipline is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Health Economics and Outcomes Research is required including customer-facing field experience of at least 3 years
  • Clinical knowledge background is a plus
