In this position, you will lead strategic projects for the Field Commercial Leadership Development and Training team. The position will be based remotely, with equipment and resources provided to support virtual working/teaming. Work will be done both independently and collaboratively with other professionals.

Responsibilities

Projects and assignments will be determined closer to the internship start date based on candidate's interest and business needs, but may include:
  • Create an Intranet site that serves as a "one stop shop" for sales teams to view and register for relevant training opportunities across Novartis, find resources to accelerate job productivity, and establish a learning community
  • Operationalize a virtual meeting/training platform sourced externally to plan and execute national and local meetings, learn and test advanced features, and train others as a "superuser."
  • Assess external trends in the areas of Learning and Leadership Development to identify gaps and propose action plans that will deliver results and improve the organization.
  • As a developing leader, engage and collaborate with others across Novartis to identify useful resources, uncover best practices and build a network of relationships as a developing Novartis leader.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in a classroom setting, natural curiosity and desire to learn
  • Time management skills to complete multiple concurrent tasks
  • Project planning and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed and takes initiative to drive projects forward
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Competent in use of common desktop applications: MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with MS Sharepoint a plus
  • Preferred not required: technical major or extensive coursework/experience, in areas such as HRIS, MIS, Project Management or related area


The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
