Associate Director, Performance Reporting and Analysis - Imbruvica

Summary:

The Associate Director, Performance and Analysis - Imbruvica will proactively make value out of business data, discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better performance and products to patients. 

The Associate Director will summarize findings and generate meaningful recommendations across functions and various projects such as patient support and voucher programs, DTC, digital/online, peer to peer, interactive visual aid and multiple other programs and tactics. He/she should proactively identify methods and approaches to using analysis in support of critical business decisions and actions. This position will help guide sales and marketing program effectiveness through supporting strategy development and decision-making for Imbruvica using the synthesis of insights provided by secondary data analysis. 

This role will report into Team Lead, Sales & Marketing Analytics - Ibrutinib.

Key accountabilities/responsibilities:

Overall

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and influence skills
  • Familiarity with nuances, structure, and applicability across various data sources such as :LAAD, SPP, DDD, Xponent, Claims, APLD
  • Partner effectively and collaborate across functions like Data Management, Market Access, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Field Training and IT
  • Ability to understand business need and use cases – converting business needs to Reporting

Performance Reporting

  • Lead the development, validation, socialization, and adoption of new KPIs and Reports
  • Evolve reports to be relevant, fit for purpose, and applicable to the evolving business needs
  • Oversee the implementation of a reporting and performance roadmap and framework that delivers operational reporting and analytics solutions for all stakeholders 
  • Develop measurement plans for (non+) personal promotion in collaboration with marketing team and supporting agencies
  • Pursue deep dive mentality to understand the drivers of metrics and performance, ultimately also  understanding interdependencies between performance metrics 
  • Create root-cause analysis into programs and summarizing recommendations
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with matrix and analytics teams, maintaining strong measurement tools for tracking inline/launch commercialization tactics performance and bridging leading indicators to business outcomes 
  • Ensure all performance metrics and goals are set in a smart way and are easy to access/track 
  • Perform ad-hoc queries and analysis to support business cases ad to drive the WHY behind performance
  • Champion new innovative performance insights processes and solutions (pilot studies, test and control, etc) to drive a learning culture
  • Lead development of requirements for reports including methodology, layout, data sources, and refresh cadences
  • Create standardized automated tools and obtain relevant data for weekly/monthly reporting and analysis to maintain complex analytical reports and dashboards 
  • Drive decision making via a disciplined, hypothesis-driven approach and shape the findings with the goal of highlighting key recommended actions 
  • Manage vendor teams through strong project management for timely delivery of reporting and analytics 
  • Engage matrix team members and analytics colleagues to ensure alignment on reporting objectives and dissemination of insights and learning 
  • Build robust relationships with stakeholders acting as a strategic and supportive link between the data and the business 
  • Partner with data governance and IT functions to understand the available data and assure a quality foundation on which to build metrics
  • Address and resolve misalignment with reports/data/applied methodology via feedback from end-users

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required, MBA or Masters preferred 
  • Previous experience in Oncology preferred
  • 10+ years of reporting and analytics experience, preferably in the Pharma/BioTech industry
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and an ability to “tell the story” of what is driving performance and what are the key recommendations
  • Exceptional qualitative, quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong overall project management skills
  • Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data such as IQVIA/Symphony Sales Data (APLD, DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), and specialty pharmacy data
  • High motivation, strong work-ethic and positive attitude while working under tight timelines
  • Experience working “hands on” with analytical and reporting tools
  • Proficiency in data analytics and 1 or more reporting tools such as SAS, R, Python, and Tableau
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures
  • Up to 10% travel based on business needs
