Principal Program Manager - Release Train Engineer


What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for the Agile Release Train across the Data Management teams/services (Mater Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Architecture and Data Literacy) for the key enterprise programs they support.

You will also be responsible for scaling individual Product Scrum teams to enterprise level executing within the SAFe methodology.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage enterprise programs like Enterprise Master Data Management or Enterprise Data Quality, including dependencies with key corporate initiatives like Digital Destinations.
  • Facilitate the efforts of Product Teams to employ Agile practices to maximize product delivery and value
  • Train and coaches scrum team members, clarifying roles and responsibilities and offering motivation and support
  • Drive RFPs and Contract Management with suppliers
  • Coordinate Quarterly Product Incremental sessions
  • Coordinate Enterprise Data Fabric Data Governance forums
  • Support creation of Business Case and ILM (Investment Lifecycle Management) information for new initiatives
  • Maintain and provide financial data to Program Management Office and Budget team
  • Participates in efforts for Talent Development and the evangelization of Product Teams, Agile and SAFe methodology for the Enterprise
  • Coordinate quarterly EDM Product Advisory Boards

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience


Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience


Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience


Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good experience working in pharma with GxP certifications
  • Certified professional in one or more Program Management, Scrum or SAFe metodologies
  • Specialist using SharePoint, JIRA, Miro, MS Teams, Webex and Data Management tools like Data Marketplace, Collibra or Alation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis
