Scientist DMPK

Arcus Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate for the position of Scientist in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department. The successful applicant will lead the development, validation, and application of cell based in vitro ADME assays to support our discovery and development programs.

Core responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and perform cell-based in vitro assays to assess CYP induction, permeability and drug transporter interactions
• Analyze, summarize, interpret, and present assay results to project teams

• Serve as a subject matter expert to help address DMPK-related issues
• Supervise and mentor research associates
• Manage out-sourced DMPK studies

• Author or co-author DMPK study reports to support regulatory submissions

Qualifications:

• ​PhD degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related discipline, or MS degree with extensive relevant R&D experience
• Expertise in cell biology and molecular biology
• Prior experience with cell based in vitro ADME assays is required
• Hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS quantitation is a plus
• Good understanding of principles of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, attention to details and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with effective time-management skills
• Open minded and a good team player
• Excellent communication and writing skills
