What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role the Senior Marketing Manager will play an integral role in continuing the momentum of an incredibly strong Inflammation portfolio at Amgen. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and highly motivated marketing team. This position will spearhead the strategic development and execution of digital promotions including omnichannel campaigns, media plans, website creation, banner ads, search, emails and the advancement of marketing plus intelligent technology integrations to drive a holistic customer experience. This individual will also closely collaborate with the broader promotions team to ensure a seamless delivery of brand messages to customers.

The successful candidate will also work with the extended brand team, marketing operations, IS, and sales force to ensure successful alignment with brand strategy and rollout of materials throughout the year. This position requires strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners, including the MAC team, the Reimbursement Access & Value (RAV) team, the Commercial Analytics team, and external vendors. You will report to the HCP Marketing Director.
Responsibilities include:

Digital Strategy
  • Create HCP digital vision and strategy roadmap to achieve brand strategic imperatives and behavioral objectives
  • Provide expert-voice in the future of how digital (marketing technologies), data intelligence, and HCP media should be architected and implemented within both brand and cross-functional teams
  • Partner closely with HCP promotions to help develop brand strategy
  • Establish digital programs to meet brand objectives and stimulate appropriate demand for these products
  • Develop omnichannel integrated communication plans in collaboration with agencies and use internal enterprise data solutions.
  • Lead strategy and implementation of HCP media plan
  • Coordinate with brand team and cross-functional partners to produce tangible digital marketing success
Innovation
  • Innovate alternative channel strategies based on customer insights and an understanding of the brand's business needs.
  • Develop and employ investment models, measurement plans and tracking systems to assess program potential, success and optimization.
  • Participate in the discovery and implementation of new technology to achieve goals
Execution and Implementation
  • Develop engaging multi-channel and digital programs for prescribers and office staff professionals
  • Develop segmentation recommendations and implementation.
  • Manage external agencies and resources to implement and optimize digital initiatives
  • Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and effective communications
  • Handle budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs
  • Work with Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) team to develop and execute research and measurement testing needed to develop programs and project/measure expected returns
  • Domestic travel required (approximately 20%) - Subject to corporate travel policy during COVID restrictions

Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

  • Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
  • Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Or
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years digital marketing experience.
  • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical category. Agency experience will be considered.
  • Experience in spearheading a wide range of successful digital campaigns including strategy and development of websites, CRM journeys, paid search, organic search, HCP endemic and programmatic display, online video, connected TV and targeted HCP programs
  • Experience incorporating market research and clinical data into compelling campaigns
  • Experience with marketing technologies with an ability to enhance business logic behind algorithmic recommendation engines and navigate system-based complexities working closely with IS, data science and marketing operations
  • Experience in partnering with advertising and media agencies and a track record of successful agency partnership and management
  • Highly motivated self-starter who seeks challenging tasks
