Molecular Technician

Piper Life Sciences is seeking a Molecular Technician to support a brand new lab in Washington DC for one of the most prestigious and highly regarded organizations in the DMV area.

Responsibilities of the Molecular Technician:

• Perform DNA/RNA extraction
• Run polymerase chain reaction equipment (PCR) or qPCR
• Perform all required tasks under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations
• Maintain equipment and records per SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable regulations

Qualifications of the Molecular Technician:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related life sciences field, preferably molecular biology
• CLIA or CAP regulated laboratory experience
• 2+ years of professional experience performing DNA/RNA extraction and PCR

Compensation for the Molecular Technician
