JOB PURPOSE

Sana Biotechnology is seeking a creative and highly-motivated individual to join the T cell Therapeutics team who will help bring gene and cell therapies to patients. This individual will be responsible for advancing viral vector pipelines by performing IND-enabling preclinical experiments while working closely with other members of the gene therapy and process development teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Viral vector sourcing for the department, including production, titration, documentation and storage
  • Optimization of viral vector production protocols, including staying up-to-date with current knowledge as well as enabling innovation
  • Working closely with other members of the gene therapy and process development teams to share and apply knowledge advancements
  • Planning, designing and execution of complex experiments
  • Reviewing and presenting data cross-functionally at department meetings and larger forums
  • Comply with standard laboratory practices and company policies, including notebook documentation and biosafety policies
  • Contribute to the overall Sana mission and culture

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree in a scientific discipline with 1+ years of laboratory experience in tissue culture, preferably viral vector production, process development and analytics
  • Demonstrated expertise in tissue culture and molecular biology while adhering to rigorous standards of good lab practices, safety, and documentation.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-site team
