Century's foundational technology is built on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) that have unlimited self-renewing capacity. This enables multiple rounds of cellular engineering to produce master cell banks of modified cells that can be expanded and differentiated into immune effector cells to supply vast amounts of allogeneic, homogeneous therapeutic products. This platform differentiates Century from other approaches that utilize non-renewable donor-derived cells.


The candidate will be responsible forproviding facility technology oversite to all the Century locations in Philadelphia, PA, Branchburg, NJ, Seattle, WA and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This will include being the system administrator for the Building Management System (BMS), Emergency Management System (EMS), security systems, work order system and the facility document management system. This position will also assist with construction projects, facility maintenance, 3rd party contract management and assist with maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies (FDA, EU, OSHA, DEP, DOT, etc.). The primary location will be the Branchburg, NJ site which is the company's New Clinical Manufacture Facility (GMP). The majority of the interaction with the other sites will be virtual and an occasional trip to the Philadelphia, PA sites.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Supports day to day management of technology operation of multiple sites
  • Primary site - Branchburg, NJ (GMP manufacturing facility)
  • Secondary sites - Philadelphia, PA and Seattle, WA
  • Manages the development and implementation of the facility technology operational procedures and policies
  • Leads the development and implementation of a facility maintenance program for multiple sites
  • System administrator for all facility computerized systems
  • Conducts interviewing, bidding and award of site technology maintenance contracts
  • Reviews annual blanket purchase orders for technology maintenance contracts
  • Evaluate vendor and contractor evaluations/performance reviews
  • Responds to site issues that require troubleshooting and resolutions
  • Manage the operation and administration of the corporate work order system
  • Support and assist with EH&S programs
  • Support and assist with the contractor/vender training program
  • Work with the facility team to establish and track expense and capital budgets
  • Respond to site emergencies (on and off hours)

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years of facility management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • High school diploma, or college degree in engineering or construction related field preferred

  • Basic knowledge of working in regulated (GMP) environments.
  • Basic knowledge of working with expense and capital budgets.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with computerized work order systems.
  • Experience with building automation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to a broad range of audiences, both internal and external
  • Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
  • Able to analyze a situation and resolve it with internal or external resources.
  • Ability to work with basic hand tools as required in emergency situations
  • Experience with EH&S requirements as it relates to facilities.
