OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and highly organized individual to join our Finance department. Reporting to the Controller, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high growth company in the biotech sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Full cycle AP – receive all incoming invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, route for approvals, enter into NetSuite ERP system, prepare weekly accounts payable listing, identify vendors for payment, ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices
    • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements and cash reconciliations
    • Process employee reimbursements using Expensify
    • Review employee travel and entertainment expenses
    • Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules, which include but are not limited to the areas of cash, investments, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses
    • Process customer orders and credit references
    • Assist with preparation of audit schedules and participate in the audit process
    • Assist with payroll processing
    • Prepare sales and use tax return and 571L property tax filing
    • Prepare 1099s and 3921s at year-end
    • Maintain vendor files and researching and resolving vendor issues.
    • Assist with new system implementation
    • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in similar position
    • Good working knowledge of US GAAP, reconciliations and accounting practices required
    • Intermediate knowledge of Excel including LOOKUP functions, PIVOT tables and formulas


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience in life science industry or diagnostic segment a plus
    • Experience with Netsuite (strongly preferred) or equivalent ERP system
    • High degree of confidentiality, integrity and judgment
    • Superior organization skills and attention to detail
    • Able to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, work independently and meet deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Detail-oriented and possess strong problem solving/analytical skills
