As a coop in the Parkinson's Disease group, the student will help design, perform, and analyze cellular experiments to advance drug discovery targets for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The student will have the opportunity to learn cutting-edge scientific techniques, conduct independent experiments, present their results to the Parkinson's Disease biology team, and gain experience in an interdisciplinary drug discovery environment.
We are seeking a student who is highly motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Experience with one or more of the following skills is preferred but not required:
Cell culture including prior experience working with cell lines, primary cells, or iPSCs
Knowledge of molecular biology approaches including transfection, RNAi, and qPCR
Qualifications

- Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
- BS/BA student
- Minimum GPA: 3.0/4.0
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
- School and/or work experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
