The Facilities Technical Specialist will receive direction from the Sr Director of Facilities. The Facilities Technical Specialist is responsible for organizing and planning compliance related tasks associated with Facilities operations and EHS, department training, documentation systems.

The Facilities Technical Specialist Shall:
- have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- high level proficiency with PC's and Microsoft Office software
- proficient with maintenance software and intranet applications
- exceptional organizational skills
- customer service orientated
Experience:
- four or more years' experience in facilities department services, maintenance or related service department in life sciences
- working with maintenance and space planning software systems
- coordinating vendors and contractors
- database operation excel, SAP, Compliance Wire, Agile, other enterprise systems
- Paper and electronic documentation and file management
- Working in a compliant GMP/ISO environment
Education:
- AA or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Trade school or other associate professional training
Position: Facilities Technical Specialist
Responsibilities
- Support Pacific Biosciences Facilities and EHS Services
Typical:
- Develop systems to plan corrective maintenance work orders
- Organize, initiate, track preventive maintenance
- Maintain paper/electronic equipment files and records
- Organize and maintain records for facilities staff training
- Support flow of CAPA, deviation/exception documentation
- Support common supply orders for maintenance, track PO issuance, invoices and accruals
- Maintain Facilities/EHS software systems, Building Management System, Lab monitor, Space/Maintenance system
- Open/Assign/Close Facilities/EHS work requests
- Ensure data is complete on work requests
- Assist to develop and maintain department metrics
- Process new equipment and tag
- Support Live help desk
- Maintain paper and electronic O&M manuals, blueprints
- Track department budget to actual
- Collect contracts and agreements input to electronic file
- Assist with coordination of contractors
- Maintain Facilities/EHS notification system
- Plan and administer facilities/EHS communications, email flyer, intranet, blogs, etc.
