Temp - Scientist, Formulation Development

Regeneron's Formulation Development Group is seeking a temporary Scientist that will be responsible to support the on-going formulation, drug product, and technology development activities for multiple early stage programs in Formulation Development Group.

A Typical Day in the Role Looks Like:

• Designs and executes formulation development and stability studies to support various early stage drug candidates, such as AAV and therapeutic proteins.
• Evaluates feasibility of analytical methods to support product characterization, formulation stability, and compatibility testing.
• Executes method optimization for improved assay performance to support method transfer to CDMO and method qualification.
• Participates in routine sample analysis to support formulation and product development activities.
• Participates in the general lab and instrument maintenance.
• Contributes to formulation development and tech transfer documents to support the process development and manufacturing of clinical drug substances and drug products
• Presents work at group, department, and cross-functional meetings.

This role requires a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline with 0-4 years of relevant industry working experience. Hands-on experience and trouble-shooting proficiency with column chromatography (SEC, IEX, RP, HIC), biophysical characterization (DLS, DSC, DSF, fluorescence, EM), and capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, cIEF, iCE) for protein characterization are highly desirable. Strong scientific understanding and extensive research experience is necessary. Experiences in the areas of formulation/drug product development, biophysical/biochemical characterization, analytical method development for mAb or recombinant protein-based biotherapeutics and pharmaceutical development are desirable. Experience with AAV-based gene therapy is a plus. Self-motivated, attention to details, excellent teamwork, organization, oral/written communication skills are highly desirable.
