DESCRIPTION

Mammoth is seeking a Scientist with expertise in genome editing in cultured mammalian cells. The ideal candidate will have direct experience developing CRISPR systems; a strong background in genome editing and/or genome modulation in mammalian cells is essential. Candidates must be comfortable collaborating with others and prioritizing time, agendas, and projects to accomplish goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Initiate, direct, and perform experiments to advance the application of CRISPR systems in mammalian cells
    • Develop and characterize CRISPR systems for genome editing applications
    • Manage direct reports and collaborate with others on the team


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Ph.D. in relevant field with 3+years relevant experience
    • Strong background in tissue culture, molecular biology and cell engineering
    • Demonstrated experience with CRISPR in mammalian cells


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience with CRISPR screens
    • Experience with NGS to characterize CRISPR editing efficiency and specificity
    • Experience working with primary cells
    • Experience with viral vectors such as AAV
    • Experience with bioinformatic tools to handle large data set
    • Liquid handling automation experience
    • Strong communication, presentation and data analysis skills
    • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to think creatively
