Precision BioSciences is seeking a Quality Assurance Data Science Intern to join the Quality and Compliance Team. The QA Data Science Intern will report to the QA Manager and will directly support the QA Department by collecting and performing statistical analysis of production/quality data from manufacturing batch records. This person will work within the Quality Department to ensure compliance with FDA and other regulatory agency requirements, as well as having a hands-on role identifying and evaluating the data. This position is expected to be full-time, working 40 hours per week for approximately 10-12 weeks in the summer.

  • Support the associated Quality Assurance Departments by identifying, collecting, and analyzing data sets and variables, and interpreting the data from manufacturing batch records QA Release metrics to find process improvement opportunities
  • Provide input and updates to the current quality databases to assist in streamlining Quality operations
  • Create flow charts and data charts as required with the data acquired
  • Perform other QA functions as required

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year program, pursuing a bachelors degree in Engineering or a Science related field
  • Advanced computer literacy (Sharepoint, Excel)
  • Have a basic understanding of Quality Concepts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • This is a primarily office-based position associated with MCAT facility in Durham, NC. For the time being, this role may be able to split functions remotely in accordance with company safety guidelines throughout the duration of the pandemic but is subject to change as needed.
