The Translational Immunology Department at our AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA is committed to elucidating the mechanisms of our therapeutics as they transition into human clinical studies and equipping them with biomarkers to aid in their progression through the pipeline. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our group to help develop biomarker assays for use in clinical studies. Methods for biomarker analysis include flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR and cellular immunological assays to investigate mechanisms of human autoimmune diseases and develop biomarkers for ongoing immunology projects.

The successful candidate will work both within the Translational Immunology Department and as a member of cross-departmental interdisciplinary teams. They will be expected to perform and analyze assays independently with attention to detail to generate high quality and reproducible data.
Desired Skills include one or more of the following assays: ELISA, flow cytometry, cell-based assays, cell culture, qPCR.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Independently execute and analyze experiments used to identify and develop biomarker assays
• Learn, understand and master new experimental techniques and help with technical transfer when necessary
• Demonstrate a high level of technical skills
• Deliver data according to time lines
• Maintain effective organization and attention to detail

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree with typically 0-3+ (BS) years of experience, or 0+ (MS) years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to execute laboratory assays and analyze results
• Demonstrated ability to learn and master laboratory techniques
• Ability to multitask and work within time lines
• Good communication skills
