Visual Inspection Operator

The Visual Inspection Operator executes all tasks vital for internal filled container inspection and packaging processes within manufacturing. We are looking for someone to efficiently operate and maintain semi-automated and fully automated inspection equipment. This role seeks to understand and develop proficiency in a wide range of processes and procedures of growing complexity.
As the Visual Inspection Operator, a typical day might include the following:

• Performing the visual inspection of liquid and lyophilized vials and liquid syringes using manual inspection booths and/or semi-auto machines
• Fulfilling line clearance and cleaning activities of inspection booths and semi-auto and auto inspection machines
• Assisting with routine product sampling as well as non-routine sampling for various engineering and validation studies
• Supporting the load and unload of inspection equipment and performing packaging and labeling tasks
• Performs packaging and labeling activities
• Completing and revising completed batch records within MES and logbooks in accordance with cGMP standards and written procedure compliance
• Training and following appropriate gowning requirements for controlled and/or classified work areas while maintaining required qualifications for visual inspection
• Ensuring all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with cGMP SOP's and safety standards
• Coordinating with facilities team to ensure equipment and process operational readiness
• Facilitating troubleshooting in case of equipment/systems failure and supporting investigations associated with process area unit activities

To be considered for this role, you must have an Associates Degree or proven experience in lieu of a degree. We need someone who can pass a visual acuity exam according to SOP requirements and has 20/20 vision without color blindness or hindrance of Depth and Peripheral vision. This can be accomplished with or without corrective lenses. Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments and familiarity with visual inspection of liquid and lyophilized products is highly desired. You need to be able to lift/push/pull at least 40lbs as well as possibly travel to support new equipment purchases/training.
