Job Description

Job Summary:

This role serves as primary communications business partner for the Seqirus North American Commercial business.

The incumbent will be an active, participating member of the North America Seqirus Commercial team, assisting with planning, oversight, and development of Communication initiatives and execution ensuring all comms, both internal and external, are aligned with Commercial and Company business priorities. This role also is responsible for the reputation management and will liaise with the Head of Reputation Management to ensure a consistent approach to enterprise wide reputation management. Ensures continuous content contribution in specific area of responsibilities for CSL Group's "owned" multimedia publishing channels (ie. Vita newshub, CSL News, CSL NOW employee app, etc.) for both internal and external stakeholders/audiences.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Serves as primary communications counselor to the NA Leadership team for Seq Commercial.
  • Accountable for the communications related to Commercial/Medical Affairs (including local site affiliates' employees) in each region.
  • Active, participating member of the NA Seq Commercial senior leadership team, assisting with annual planning, budget oversight, and development of Communications initiatives that support broader Seq Commercial and Enterprise-wide goals.
  • Leads strategic counsel to NA Seq Commercial leaders and execution of programs that support telling our early asset and Seq Commercial pipeline story.
  • Ensures all NA Seq Commercial communications efforts ladder up to broader Seqirus and CSL Group brand message.
  • Ensures Company's global Brand positioning is reflective in NA Seq Commercial content for both external and internal audiences.
  • Ensures continuous content contribution in specific area of responsibilities for CSL Group's "owned" multimedia publishing channels (ie. Seqirus newshub, CSL News, CSL NOW employee app, etc.) for both internal and external stakeholders/audiences. Metrics and analytics to be established and tracked.
  • This role also is responsible for the Seqirus NA reputation management and will work with the Head of Reputation. Management to ensure consistent approach to reputation management.
  • Serves as strategic communications lead on annual events and programming designed to tell our NA Seq Commercial /innovation story to stakeholders.
  • Develops and executes NA Seq Commercial Leadership communications plans.
  • Develops and executes strategic communications in support of NA Seq Commercial.
  • Coordinates closely with communications and HR colleagues at NA Seq Commercial locations to provide strategic counsel on local communications initiatives that support broader NA Seq Commercial goals.
  • Responsible for Issues & Crisis for NA and to take Issues & Crisis Management direction from Head of Finance, IR & Reputation Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, while fostering strong working relationships.
  • Coach and motivate team.
  • Focus on actively collaborating with key internal stakeholders on the strategy, development and implementation of communication content for Seqirus in North America.
  • Champion best practice and lead by example, with consistent engagement across the business in North America.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or closely related field
  • 10+ years' experience in advertising and design services
  • Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, strong presentation but diplomatic presence.
  • Business-fluent in English.
