SUMMARY

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as consultant on people and organizational effectiveness topics in partnership with the global Product Development and Supply (PDS) organizations for CMC Biologics and Quality as well as overall site HR responsibility for the Bothell, WA site in partnership with local leaders. In partnership with global and US HR colleagues and business leaders, the incumbent will support, challenge, and add value to the business in pursuit of their global objectives and overall strategy. Additionally, the incumbent will create and support HR plans that drive optimal business performance through change management, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and ceadership capability, ensuring all are aligned with HR polices and standards and the goals of Lundbeck.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serves as a global partner in a matrix business structure with global business leaders and HR colleagues to ensure alignment across one global CMC team.
  • Acts as the HR business partner and internal consultant to the global and U.S. based PDS and commercial quality organizations.
  • Establishes trust and credibility with leaders and operates as a business partner on organizational and talent issues. Actively undertakes coaching conversations with leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Maintains deep understanding of each customer groups' strategy, goals, and identifies opportunities to enhance the groups' capabilities and structure. Promotes leadership alignment with our Beliefs and Competencies.
  • Proactively provides guidance and recommends actions to managers and leaders that maximize employee engagement. Influences leaders and managers to assess engagement feedback and build comprehensive action plans. Influence management accountability for proactive engagement dialogue throughout the year.
  • Partners across North America affiliate and with Corporate HR partners in support of local and global HR initiatives.
  • Promotes and supports company and site based initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Partners with Finance Liaisons through annual and quarterly budget cycles and other financial needs as they arise
  • Partners with global HR colleagues in preparation and facilitation of customer group's annual organizational review (inclusive of business planning and talent management)
  • Partners with the Compensation and Benefits team to develop and update job descriptions that attract and retain optimal talent and ensure competitiveness in the marketplace; provides continuous feedback regarding compensation and benefits matters from customer groups.
  • Collaborates with managers and employees for their understanding and participation in performance management and development programs. Additionally, facilitates the annual review process, inclusive of calibration sessions and career development planning. Coaches employees and managers on the process of resolving and/or addressing performance gaps.
  • Leads cross-functional projects, new initiatives and process improvement programs within HR and with customer groups as appropriate.
  • Manages employee relations matters with varying degrees of complexity. Conducts effective investigations on complaints and policy violations, makes recommendations, and takes appropriate action.
  • Leverages data, analysis and predictive information to proactively identify various HR related trends. Conducts exit interviews; monitors and analyzes trends in turnover, hiring, and promotions to determine support or action needed to drive more favorable outcomes as needed.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition to provide consultation and feedback on the hiring and selection process. Works with hiring managers to develop and maintain robust job descriptions and encourages use of My Competencies for effective candidate selection. Reinforces high value of diverse candidate
  • slate and appropriate interview panel.
  • Provides informed, creative recommendations for workforce planning.
  • Flexibility in work hours to accommodate global partners in Denmark, Chicago and other time zones.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of progressive human resources experience
  • 5+ years in an HR business partner role working with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated client focused orientation/consultative skills. Proven ability to empower, influence and coach executives within a complex matrixed organization to improve their leadership effectiveness.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously accepting clear responsibility and accountability for results
  • Ability to develop clear, actionable plans to support overall business strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to support organizational change
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Uses informed, sound judgment to make timely, effective and sound decisions
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience, conducting workplace investigations and advising managers on implementing corrective action interventions
  • Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations/laws/statutes
  • Ability to self-direct and work effectively to influence without authority all levels of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and requests to deliver high quality, value-added and timely advisory services to employees and management


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
  • Accredited MBA; SPHR or equivalent
  • Prior pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry experience
  • Direct HR partnership experience with Scientists, laboratory environments and corporate customers
  • Experience supporting a global client group and effectively partnering with global colleagues in distant time zones and varying work cultures.


TRAVEL
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
