The Immunology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will align to the Northeast Region and act as a partner with the broader marketing team on the development of regional commercial plans to maintain market leadership in an increasingly competitive landscape. The Regional Marketing Manager will work closely with multiple AbbVie commercial teams to ensure alignment and success in development of regional strategy and execution plans.
The RMM will act as the face of the AbbVie Marketing team with our External Experts; developing, implementing and maintaining interactions for the purpose of insight generation from targets within assigned region. Additionally, the RMM works within a team-based environment, leading the development and execution of marketing strategies and will lead the implementation of innovative tactics to maximize ROI, line of therapy, market share and profitability across AbbVie Immunology.

Key Responsibilities:
Regional Thought Leader Engagement and Development
- Identify, build and strengthen commercial relationships with regional External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant patient and professional associations within assigned region
- Develop regional engagement plans for External Experts and ensure consistent tactical execution throughout the year to drive key marketing engagement
- Must be able to manage effective written and oral communications with External Experts and be able to confidently represent AbbVie's interests with key stakeholders
Marketing Initiatives
- Lead projects compliantly and effectively through the promotional review process to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion (meets deadlines). Ensures that regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes are followed
- Requires the ability to provide in-depth insights based on brand key business questions that will provide input to marketing strategy, resource optimization and tactic development to drive brand performance
- Marketing lead for field competitive intelligence for the assigned region
- Responsible for understanding a specific geographical area's market drivers, competitive landscape, and provider dynamics
- Coordinate the work of multiple external vendors and internal departments including Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Corporate Compliance, Consumer Marketing and IT
Marketing Leader in Key Accounts
- Demonstrate In-depth understanding of external and internal drivers within account
- Marketing lead for key accounts and institutions in assigned Region, connecting AbbVie's Integrated Brand Teams to collaboration opportunities
- Lead IBT immersion meetings with identified account
- Align and prioritize IBT account initiatives
Scope and Key Skills
- Strong communication (verbal and non-verbal) skills
- Understanding of marketing and sales organizations collaboration to drive brand performance
- Maintains a working knowledge of industry information sources (MD/Channel level data, audits/secondary data and primary research). Uses appropriate data sources to evaluate effectiveness of promotional tactics and develop business strategy
- Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results influencing without authority
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP) specifically, significant health care experience. Understanding of attributes of other functional areas and impact of relevant decisions
Additional Responsibilities
- Manages conventions, ad boards, speaker programs, meetings, and medical education projects within assigned budget. Continually evaluates and applies knowledge of the effectiveness and efficiency of key tactics. Effectively manages projects to deliver high-quality work in a timely fashion (meets deadlines). Ensures that regulatory guidelines are followed
- Supports development of strategic and tactical action plans; execute upon tactical plan in a timely and effective manner
- Effectively track and manage the marketing budget. Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous experience in sales, sales management, or marketing with at least 2 years of experience in Immunology (preferred)
- Travel up to 60% of the time including some weekends
