Job Summary

This position will contribute to advancing drug development programs from target identification/validation through the support of clinical-stage programs. Daily lab work, documentation, and research and development for the department are required. The Research Associate will demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication and will need to present scientific results to multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prior hands-on lab experience with the following techniques: RNA isolation, qPCR, ELISA, cell culture, western blot, immunohistochemistry
  • Prior experience with Excel, Prism GraphPad
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn new laboratory techniques and protocols
  • High attention to detail in research and record-keeping for documentation
  • Daily lab responsibilities; execution of experiments, assay development
  • Prepares reports, presentations, SOPs, etc.
  • Communicates research results in both oral and written formats
  • Provides training to new laboratory staff
  • Works with supervisor to prioritize work
  • Perform other duties as required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or other related fields, new college graduate or 1-2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with little to no supervision, work well in teams, and ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment with a diverse team of coworkers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Integrity, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are expected
  • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Prism GraphPad


Physical Requirements/Demands

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one station to another, or from one worksite to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 10, 25, 50 pounds.
