We are seeking an expert in Immunology and/or stem cell biology who is excited to identify and validate new targets for the conditioning phase of stem cell transplant. This position will report to the CSO & Head of Research and will be responsible for the identification and validation of new targets and the in vitro support of the current Discovery and Development pipeline. You are perfect for this role if you are engaged by and want to be responsible for:
  • New target identification, validation, screening for bioactive molecules
  • Responsible for the generation of in vitro data packages to support advancement of projects into development
  • Leading a group of talented discovery scientists
  • Leadership of Discovery projects through IND
  • Interacting and collaborating with scientists across Discovery and Development

We would be thrilled if you brought the following with you:
  • PhD degree required in a relevant field (Immunology or Stem Cell Biology) with a minimum of 8 years' experience including some previous industry experience
  • Experience with human in vitro cellular techniques including:
    • primary human cell culture (experience working with Immune cells and/or Hematopoietic stem cells desirable)
    • molecular techniques for identification of new targets such as ssRNAseq, Cite Seq etc.
    • multi-parameter flow cytometry including cell separation/sorting
    • functional assays of stem cell and/or immune cell function
  • Must be a creative, organized, strategic, motivated self-starter, capable of driving a portion of the discovery strategy.
  • Experience leading a group and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
  • The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
