We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Genome Engineering Technology group, which addresses a wide range of experimental topics, including genome editing, stem cell differentiation, and antibody engineering. We are looking for a candidate will support ongoing projects in developing new methods for ESC/iPSC differentiation.

As an R&D Specialist in the Genome Engineering Technology group, a typical day may include the following:

- Conduct and optimize protocols for ESC/iPSC differentiation into different cell lineages
- In vitro analysis of ESC/iPSC-differentiated cells using cellular assays, such as flow cytometry, proliferation, and immunofluorescence
- Engineering of various cell types using lipofection, nucleofection, viral transduction etc.
- Perform in vivo experiments such as transplantation to evaluate functional capabilities of ESC/iPSC-differentiated cells
- Maintain clear records of experimental details in a laboratory notebook
- Communicate experimental results, conclusions and ideas directly to supervisor, project team members, and management in presentation form

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelors and 5+ years of relevant experience or masters and 3+ years experience in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology or related field. We are seeking someone who is experienced in cell culture techniques, flow cytometry (analysis and sorting), molecular biology, and animal models. We are looking for experience with or willing to learn in vivo experiments conducted in mice. Please note, frequent weekend hours required.
