The Maintenance and Reliability Technician I, Utilities Operator is responsible for the reliable, efficient and sustained operation of site facilities and equipment. This role monitors systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance to support objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Routine monitoring of systems, facilities and equipment.
  • Operate, troubleshoot and repair utility systems including HVACR, WFI, steam, wastewater and compressed gases.
  • Support 24x7 site-based operations.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and utility systems.
  • Provide responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Complete accurate cGMP documentation.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Use shop equipment to repair or modify parts and equipment.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout.
  • Other Related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma with 1 year of experience performing operations and maintenance on utility systems.
  • Strong HVACR background preferred.
  • Experience operating and maintaining mechanical systems in a cGMP or other regulated environment.
  • Proven reasoning, troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills utilizing MS Office suite applications, Building Management Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Must have a good attitude regarding safety and lock out procedures.
  • Good understanding of GMPs with experience in pharmaceutical environment.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
