Magenta Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing therapeutics to reset the immune system to cure more patients with devastating and life-threatening diseases. This immune reset approach can be applied through stem cell transplant to multiple diseases, including autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and systemic sclerosis; blood cancers, such as acute myeloid leukemia; and genetic diseases, such as sickle cell disease.

The Executive Assistant will provide executive-level administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the Executive Leadership Team. Working closely with upper management, the selected individual will help leadership be more effective in their roles by anticipating, determining, and proactively fulfilling the team members' needs. This highly visible role in a publicly traded company will have Board of Directors work and will contribute to organization and planning best practices for leadership. The Executive Assistant will interact with all levels of employees across the organization and support projects initiated by the leadership team.

You are perfect for this role if you are engaged by:
  • Providing timely, accurate and effective administrative support to the Magenta's CEO; providing ad-hoc support to other members of the company
  • Work closely with assistants to Board of Directors and Committee Members to schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Providing back up support for other administrative professionals at Magenta
  • Addressing problems and developing practical, thorough, and creative solutions without relying on precedent or supervisory review; exercising independent judgment and discretion of sensitive/confidential and proprietary information
  • Participates in, and may be called upon to lead, projects within and across work groups
  • Independently creating and delivering communications from the Executive Leadership Team and its members
  • Applying developed breadth and/or depth of skills in a range of processes, procedures, and systems
  • May coordinate workflow, direction and development across other administrative professionals
  • General responsibilities include maintaining and actively managing multiple calendars; plan, schedule, and coordinate teleconferences, travel, onsite/offsite meetings; process expense reports

We would be thrilled if you brought the following with you:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of related experience, or 5+ years of administrative experience and transferable administrative skills
  • Support of executive teams or senior level individuals is preferred and biotech industry experiences a plus
  • Proficient with email, calendar, word-processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications; Microsoft Office suite required
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and software applications
  • Strong writing and interpersonal communications with ability to persuade and influence to add value to end results
  • Ability to handle routine and impromptu assignments with minimal supervision
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with ability to multi-task
