Intellia Therapeutics is a cutting-edge healthcare company creating gene editing treatments for challenging diseases. Intellia continuously generates high-complexity data to rapidly develop a variety of CRISPR/Cas9-based therapeutics.

We are seeking an intern to support an expanded data structuring platform to manage a variety of nonclinical data. This is a role focused on technical communication between Computational/Data Scientists and Experimental Biologists. The successful intern will be the lead liaison for training and platform optimization. Experience will include contributing to building, deploying and optimizing a scientific data analytics platform for use in rapid development of new biotechnology products.

  • Quickly learn data-facing and laboratory-facing processes associated with information management within data analytics platform
  • Create educational training materials and tools to effectively communicate platform features and functionality
  • Design and perform interactive sessions to facilitate rapid adoption by end users
  • Collect and user feedback and coordinate exchange between developers and lab scientists
  • Test platform improvements ahead of deployment to increase usability
  • Contribute to historical data backfilling

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a major in Human Factors, Biology, Computer Science, or related
  • Understand basic biology-oriented lab process; animal and molecular biology
  • Understand basic computational and database processes; Laboratory information management systems (LIMS); data structuring
  • Exhibit strong business communication skills; proactive tasking
  • Familiarity with teaching, training and/or technical education principles
