Appropriate estimation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) penetration of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) is important for modeling target engagement and linking it with efficacy endpoints in various neuroscience indications including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and stroke. The activities of this clinical pharmacology intern would include conducting systematic literature review for published data on CSF penetration of mAbs and reviewing internal PK and imaging data to compile a comprehensive database with mAb physiochemical characteristics and neuronal injury/disease state specific physiological characteristics. The intern will also help build a R or MATLAB based PBPK model with an end deliverable to investigate effect of various physiochemical properties and disease states on mAb CSF penetration and engagement with disease specific targets.

In addition to the primary assignment, the intern will have the opportunity to learn clinical pharmacology aspects of clinical development by shadowing mentors on various cross functional meetings.
