The HCP Marketing Manager will lead all Gastroenterology Advisory Board meetings to ensure insights are gathered on prioritized topics that support the strategies and tactics for Upadacitinib, Risankizumab and HUMIRA. This position will also be the Brand lead for all competitive intelligence (CI) across the gastroenterology indications, working cross functionally to ensure all CI is current and necessary action items related to CI are executed and leading Gastroenterology conference planning.

Key Responsibilities Includes:
  • Marketing Lead for all Gastroenterology Advisory Board Meetings
    1. Responsible for creating the annual advisory board plan for Upadacitinib, Risankizumab and HUMIRA aligning all objectives to the needs of the Brand teams and the consulting annual plan
    2. Agency lead for strategy, content creation and logistical execution for advisory board meetings throughout the year for Upadacitinib, Risankizumab and HUMIRA
    3. Cross functional collaboration with Brand teams to ensure alignment on all objectives, content, and insights gathered from advisory board meetings
    4. Cross functional collaboration with Regional Marketing Managers and Brand teams to ensure the best advisors are recruited for each advisory board meeting to achieve objectives
    5. Cross functional collaboration with Medical and HEOR to ensure any medical content presented is accurate and current
  • Competitive Intelligence (CI) lead for Gastroenterology
    1. Collaboration with the internal CI team to ensure all competitive milestones that impact Gastro are communicated across the teams
    2. Lead US commercial rapid response planning in collaboration with Global Commercial Development team to ensure cross-functional alignment and clear communication to leadership
    3. Responsible for internal and field communications on all relevant CI updates that could impact the Brand strategies and tactics
    4. Cross functional collaboration with Sales Training, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Market Access and Public Affairs on all proactive and reactive CI planning along with creation of sales force training materials
  • Conference Planning lead for Gastroenterology
    1. Cross functional collaboration with brand teams, Medical Affairs, Sales Training and Public Affairs to develop and execute conference strategy and communications to respective stakeholders. Includes sponsorship management across all national conferences and product theaters.
    2. Collaboration with the internal CI and Medical Affairs teams to ensure prioritized session coverage.
    3. Responsible for CI and debriefs from all major conferences (DDW, ECCO, ACG, UEGW)



  • Reporting to the HCP Marketing Director
  • Execution of Goal Plan, AbbVie Ways of Working with associated Leadership Attributes
  • Travel up to 20% of the time
  • Position based at Abbvie HQ/Mettawa, IL

  • 5+ years of sales, sales management, or marketing experience with at least 2 years in pharmaceutical
  • Experience with HCP related activities required. Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process preferred.
  • Efficient project management and communication capabilities along with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.

  • Bachelor's Degree. MBA preferred.
  • Previous Immunology Sales/Marketing experience preferred.
