Specific Responsibilities:

A summer research internship is available in the Department at the Foster City, CA, campus of Gilead Sciences. The candidate should be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program with a Major in a science-related field.

Essential Functions:

Under general supervision, create and update documentation to assist in training and delineation of roles and responsibilities within FC Development OSD QA.

  • Create and/or update flow charts for major QA processes in Development (e.g., Product Disposition, MTR review and approval, MBR/EBR Review and Approval) to assist in onboarding and training
  • Perform a thorough review and update of training curricula and create role-based training matrices for QA - e.g., QPTL, QFSL, OL, FP Review/Approval, PC Review/Approval
  • Update/create and harmonize job descriptions for the Development QA group
  • Support reduced EBR review by identifying critical parameters to be reviewed and creating/updating checklist to document reduced EBR Review


Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Undergraduate (or graduate student, if applicable) in the or related field enrolled in a 4-year accredited university/college; including enrollment in the Fall Semester after completing the internship
  • Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required
  • Ability to complete 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and September
