Associate Director, Key Accounts - Anti Infective

Job Description

Summary of duties (including but not limited to):

  • Develop and execute a thorough strategy in assigned geography which will lead to positive sales outcomes for the Company's promoted product(s) to achieve regional quarterly goal attainment.
  • Meet, interact and sell the Anti-Infective portfolio to high level decision makers and influencers of all types within hospital systems, strategic academic hospital accounts and large infusion center groups throughout the assigned geographic area.
  • Engage in disease state and product conversations while clearly conveying a clinical and economic value message to targeted decision makers.
  • Build strong professional relationships with key hospital stakeholders and strategic targets to further build AbbVie's value to the customer base.
  • Work closely with field-based personnel including, Medical Science Liaisons, District Managers, Account Specialists and Senior Leadership/Marketing.
  • Coordinate ground level activity across multiple territories and districts to deliver system level results.
  • Provide regional reimbursement support for the Anti-Infective portfolio and act as a liaison between third party vendors and Field Sales Team.
  • Collaborate with Sales Training and other internal partners to enhance product knowledge and account management skills.
  • This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director

The additional positing locations include: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Main, Disctrict of Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Main and Massachusetts.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Education and Experience:
        • Bachelor's Degree. MBA preferred
        • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
        • 5+ years of anti-infective experience and in-depth clinical knowledge of infectious diseases and anti-microbials is strongly preferred.
        • Previous hospital account management experience is required. Existing relationships and experience in the assigned geography is preferred.
        • Prior Leadership experience is preferred (District Manager or other similar leadership positions within the company or District)
        • A proven track record of successful hospital formulary and sales achievements as well as documented leadership awards is also preferred.
        • Demonstrated ability to strategically analyze financial and sales performance data to identify account opportunities with various customers including executive level, pharmacy, and HCPs.
        • Ability to think creatively to overcome challenges and improve performance and company effectiveness.
        • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority
        • Excellent communication and presentation skills
        • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills to balance multiple priorities.
        • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
        • Must reside within boundaries of Region
