Job Description Summary: The CV KAM Planning Manager will be responsible for providing analysis, planning, and operational support to The National KAM Director and the six Regional Directors. The role will also support all HQ initiatives and serve as a liaison between the brand and the field.

Job Description:
  • Analyze performance and productivity data with a focus on identifying opportunities for growth and performance improvement L5; develop and recommend response plans
  • Integrate all internal and external performance and productivity data to obtain a comprehensive understanding of national/regional performance and productivity.
  • Monitor progress toward national/regional goals and objectives.
  • Monitor national/region performance and productivity objectives through the analysis of various metrics (i.e.: sales performance by region/territories; Sales Force Effectiveness metrics; Coordination/Collaboration; Outlets and Payer Channel performance; etc.).
  • Assist with the alignment, development, consolidation and implementation of all components of the national business plan. Review the national/regional business plans on a regular basis and recommend enhancements on an as needed basis.
  • Analyze Payer Channel performance metrics against regional/ territory plan goals.
  • Develop and implement regional pull through plans and initiatives (i.e.: targeting initiatives, Blitzes, etc.).
  • Identify pull through training needs and opportunities.
  • Serve as liaison between home office brand and regional field directors on pull through plan development, resource allocation and execution; mobilize regions around opportunities.
  • Identify, allocate and track pull through resources (i.e.: Region Budget, Access Resources, Samples, Promotional Programs, Marketing sponsored programs, etc.).
  • Serve as a liaison with other functional areas (i.e.: Marketing, Targeting and Alignment, Sales Training and Incentive Compensation.) to discuss opportunities and/or troubleshoot regional operational issues.
  • Manage the coordination and implementation of various region meetings (i.e.: S1 and S2) and teleconferences.
  • Plan and coordinate Field Impact Days with target regions/ markets on an as needed basis.
  • Serve as liaison between internal business partners (i.e.: Marketing) and regional management team on resource allocation issues as necessary.
  • Ensure region compliance with allocation utilization guidelines and procedures.


Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience

OR

Master's degree and 6 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Sales and/or Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of pharmaceutical leadership or relevant sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Demonstrated ability to deliver on sales objectives.
  • Strong planning, analytical, leadership, administration and project management skills
  • Experience with customer base customer and market industry knowledge.
  • Successful experience working with the local sales matrix team to accomplish business objectives.
  • Strong sales performance track record.
  • Experience in supporting leadership with on boarding new representatives and assisting with training, sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Understanding of the national Amgen management matrix team.
  • Ability to apply customer insight and market industry knowledge to business decision making.
  • Skill in interpreting and using business and marketing analytics.
  • Knowledge and skill in development and execution of local sales plans that support strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the sales process and selling skills.
  • Ability to impact and influence others with no direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly and to appropriately direct synthesize communications.
  • Advanced skills with Excel, PPT and Word.
