Sales Manager - EMEAI


Protein Metrics is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to cover Europe, Middle East and India to sell and promote Protein Metrics solutions to customers directly, as well as manage distributor sales channels for Protein Metrics. The candidate must have a knowledge of the biopharmaceutical and protein characterization markets. Sales experience of Enterprise deployments would be a significant advantage. Candidates who have experience of managing a sales team would be favored, although this is not a pre-requisite. Language skills in German, French and English are an important consideration.


Responsibilities


Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for day-to-day sales and business development for the region. You will need to coordinate closely with the Customer Success team to plan demonstrations, pre-sales activities, quotations and post-sales follow up to biopharmaceutical organizations, academic laboratories, and partners across the region. Management responsibilities include:

  • Meet or exceed Sales Quota for your region
  • Weekly and quarterly reporting in the Customer Relationship management system for sales activities and pipeline; prepare quarterly sales summaries.
  • Coordination with sales teams across other geographies for global accounts
  • Find new customers for Protein Metrics, with a particular focus on Enterprise deployments
  • Manage current customer base and ensure expansion within the existing organizations who have our software by selling additional modules and workflows that are developed in our Byos┬« and Byosphere┬« products
  • Assist Marketing in identifying gaps in information or knowledge of Protein Metrics in the market.
  • Ensure best practices are applied at all levels in each account; maintain high level business contacts in parallel with scientific contacts with the Customer Success team.
  • Coordination with Customer Success teams to ensure that Demonstration requests, Deployment requests, Pilot programs, are all delivered on time.
  • Ensure feedback of requests and interactions with customers to Product Management for actionable improvements to the products
  • Act as a resource to our customers to justify spend on software products from Protein Metrics
  • Coordinate with Marketing to support marketing initiatives (conference and webinar support, business development, etc.)

Requirements

  • 3-5 years sales management experience in pre-sales and post-sales for Manager
  • Experience with protein mass spectrometry applications in biopharma.
  • Experience of software sales, both Enterprise and Desktop
  • Experience of coordinating scientific input to customers from customer-focused teams
  • Ability to cope with remote communications
